    • Extremely convenient location in the centre of the town. The dorm room was sufficiently comfortable with good AC.
    • Staff was really nice and they gave me a good contact to do activities in Victoria falls. The outdoor space is nice.
    • It's in a good location and at a great price. Many of the staff were friendly and helpful. The place had a nice vibe and the room was a good size. The food served for dinner in the restaurant was really tasty and filling.

    Cons -

    • The bathrooms need a revamp!
    • In the beginning I was staying in the dorms and they were quite hlbad. Almost no windows, no mosquito nets, smelled bad and the toilets only had 1 shower working for everyone and were not that clean. After 1 day I asked to be changed for a private room and that was ok. Also, the kitchen is really old, not clean and doesn't have any appliances. The pool was empty.
    • There were a number of things that were disappointing about the stay.- The place offers activity booking, so I booked rafting and was told to be ready at 8am the following morning. No other details were given. The following morning, I waited for 30 minutes outside in the heat before asking what was happening. The staff member who I'd spoken to wasn't around and no one had any idea about the booking, so there were a few rather confusing calls back and forth to find out what was going on. After finally getting in touch with the rafting company, I was told that it had been cancelled. Very disappointing!- The pool wasn't filled with water throughout the stay so it was unusable - I asked if it would be filled and was told that it would be, but this never happened.- The "double bed" was actually two singles pushed together, which would gradually move apart in the night leaving a 5cm gap by morning.- The WiFi was slow and intermittent, often not working at all.- There were ants in the room creating anthills.- A hose was left on in the grass outside my room, turning the area leading from my room into a muddy bog that I accidentally stepped in. Not nice in flip flops!- After the above bog incident, I went to wash my feet in the shower. Immediately after turning on the shower, the shower head exploded (the spraying section was not fully attached to the shower head fitting). This sprayed me, my clothes, and the surrounding bathroom with water. I had only been provided with one towel in the room so used this to wipe everything up.- I ordered a "full English breakfast", which supposedly comes with a sausage, bacon, eggs, tomato and bread. The dish was very disappointing: the tomato was a single thin soggy slice, the fried eggs were an unrecognisable mash, the bread consisted of soft tasteless burger buns, and the bacon was entirely missing.

Comfortable beds, AC worked really well which was helpful in hot October, wide space to sit and chill with others, staff helpful, excellent location opposite the main shopping area.

Bathrooms needs some upliftment. The shower was broken and also the toilet facilities could be better mantained (e.g. timely replacement of tissues).

Staff, location, room with aircon, pool, bar, restaurant.

Facilities in kitchen could be a lot better.

There was a girl-maid who helped me out with the mosquito net and that was a grear detail! I had a great sleep that nite! The communal room has an AC and it was a delight!

Cheap, friendly staff, lots of areas to hangout and close to supermarket and buss stop

    Lacking stuff on the menu

    9MuminPosted on: 2-14-2020

The place is just opposite shop rite and several restaurants that are just a walking distance. The area is safe and if you're heading to Victoria falls / Mosi -oa- Tunya then the location is just perfect. A taxi to the falls costs 50-70 kwacha. There are shared ones available on the opposite side of the road. Catherine was quite helpful and welcoming. And hey make sure to bring your own locks for the lockers!

No signage to indicate that it's a backpackers.

3 key points: location, function and garden!!!

    5ShannonPosted on: 1-27-2020

Day 1: Sausage was beef instead of pork. Bread was a bun not toasted slice as on menu. Day 2: No eggs, no sausage

    1. Toilet in Fulani room leaking. 2. Shower head broken. 3. No drinking water provided in room

Very nice, fun place. Rooms are what you would expect for the price. Great if you want to meet some other travellers. Very handy having the good restaurant inside the accommodation after the long day of exploring. Also useful with the travel desk. Would recommend for the price.

    Victoria Falls, local market.

We were welcomed by Rachel the minute we walked through the door. Staff and dining were great, even had vegan options for my daughter and her boyfriend. Great experience overall, bed could of been a bit better. Was very easy to organise a taxi & activities from there. Only downside was our stay was to short & rushed. So big thank you to all the helpful & friendly staff.

The hostel is clean and the staff are very attentive, they go above and beyond to help the guests out. The setting of the hostel is very spacious, nice and green. There are places for guests to hang out and relax. They also help with organising tours. The location is very good. I highly recommend the hostel for anyone who is staying in Livingstone.
